Caring Communities of Change

Caring Communities of Change will put learning disability family carers at the heart of service design and delivery across Health and Social Care in Wales.

As a result of partnerships with carer-led networks and other organisations we will co-produce, pilot and scale up innovative and practical solutions to meet the needs of the learning disability family carers and their families.

What change would make a difference for you?

This is a quick chance to tell us what change - big or small - would have a life changing effect on your journey as a family. Any contribution will be welcomed and your voice will be heard.
  • Any information you give us - lots or little - will help us gather insight on the issues that matter to you so we can continue to work to secure rights and improve well being for parents, carers and families of loved ones with learning disabilities in Wales

I want to get involved

I want to express an interest on behalf of a group or organisation

I just want to say what i think

Our response to COVID – 19

Firstly, we want to acknowledge that these are very difficult times for families. The pandemic has caused uncertainty and anxiety amongst many families and their loved ones. We want to acknowledge this and let you know that we are working with the wider network to support learning disability family carers and their loved ones.

In short, we will continue to support families through working with the network to address issues and concerns in relation to the current situation.

In addition to this we want to start having conversations about the services you receive and how we can work together to shape future. We want to put you at the heart of the design and development of services in the future.

What is Co-production?

Co-production, what is it? In summary, it is involving citizens in the creation of policies and services. Co-production Network Wales have a great guide to co-production here

What are our goals?
